Delivery & Returns Policy
When ordering
After placing your order, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Please review your order carefully. If you notice an error (e.g. address, product details), email us at support@roofingshop.ie as soon as possible, before dispatch. We’ll do our best to fix it, but custom build items cannot be changed once created.
Custom-Cut EPDM Membrane and Bespoke Items
EPDM membrane and other materials cut to a customer-selected size are treated as custom-cut goods.
Once cutting, preparation or processing has started, custom-cut EPDM membrane, made-to-measure materials and specially prepared items cannot be cancelled, returned or refunded for change of mind.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- EPDM membrane cut to a customer-selected length or size
- Made-to-measure roofing materials
- Special-order or bespoke items prepared specifically for your order
The 14-day cooling-off right does not usually apply to goods made to the customer’s specification or clearly personalised.
This does not affect your statutory rights if the goods are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied, cut to the wrong size by us, not as described, or otherwise fail to meet your legal rights as a consumer.
We recommend that all measurements are checked carefully before placing an order for custom-cut EPDM membrane or any bespoke product.
Delivery
We use Registered An Post for standard deliveries up to 20kg where applicable.
This includes:
- Tracking
- Secure delivery
- Signature and proof of delivery
- Insurance included
Shipping charges are based on the total order weight. For example:
- Up to 2 kg — €13.00
- Over 2 kg up to 5 kg — €15.00
- Over 5 kg up to 15 kg — €17.00
- Over 15 kg up to 20 kg — €20.00
- Over 20 kg — €60.00 per pallet
For heavier, bulk, or oversized orders above 20 kg or over 1m and may be subject to pallet delivery rates.
Where an order requires more than one pallet space, additional pallet charges may apply. The applicable delivery cost will be shown at checkout or confirmed before dispatch.
Delivery times may vary depending on product size, order quantity, and destination.
We will aim to dispatch stocked items as soon as reasonably possible. Unless otherwise agreed, goods should be delivered within 30 days of the order being accepted. Irish consumer guidance states that online orders should be delivered within 30 days unless otherwise agreed between the consumer and retailer.

You will be notified when your order is ready for collection.
Please do not travel to collect your order until you have received confirmation that it is ready.
When collecting, please bring your order confirmation or proof of purchase.
Delivery Inspection
Please inspect your order as soon as possible after delivery.
Before signing for palletised, oversized or courier deliveries, please check the packaging for visible damage where possible.
If the packaging appears damaged, please note this with the carrier at the time of delivery and contact us as soon as possible.
If you receive a damaged, defective or incorrect item, please contact us at support@roofingshop.ie with:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Photographs of the product and packaging, where relevant
We will review the issue and arrange an appropriate remedy where required.
Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Goods
If an item is defective, damaged, not as described, incorrectly supplied or cut to the wrong size by us, please contact us as soon as possible at:
Where appropriate, we may offer a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy in accordance with your statutory rights.
For faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods, we will arrange or reimburse reasonable return costs where a return is required.
This section applies to both standard products and custom-cut products.
Custom-cut goods are not returnable for change of mind, but they remain covered by your statutory rights if there is a fault or issue with the goods.
Standard 30-Day Returns Policy
We offer a 30-day returns policy for eligible standard stock items.
This means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a standard return, the item must be:
- Unused
- Uninstalled
- In resaleable condition
- In its original packaging where possible
- Accompanied by proof of purchase

For change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods unless we agree otherwise.
Items Not Eligible for Change-of-Mind Returns
The following items are not normally eligible for cancellation, return or refund for change of mind:
- Custom-cut EPDM membrane
- Materials cut to a customer-selected size
- Made-to-measure products
- Special-order products
- Products specially prepared for your order
- Items that have been installed, used, damaged or altered after delivery
- Items not in resaleable condition
- Opened or partly used liquid products, primers, adhesives or sealants
- Perishable or short-shelf-life products, where applicable
This does not affect your statutory rights if the goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect, not as described or otherwise fail to meet your consumer rights.
Consumer 14-Day Cooling-Off Right
If you are a consumer buying online, you usually have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.
After notifying us that you wish to cancel, you must return the goods within a further 14 days.

The 14-day cooling-off right does not apply to certain goods, including goods made to the consumer’s specification or clearly personalised. Therefore, custom-cut EPDM membrane and other bespoke-cut materials cannot usually be cancelled or returned for change of mind once cutting, preparation or processing has started.
Goods returned under the cooling-off right should be unused, uninstalled and handled only as necessary to inspect them. You may be responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
For change-of-mind cancellations, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods unless we agree otherwise.
Return Shipping Costs
For standard change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the goods unless we agree otherwise.
For faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods, we will arrange or reimburse reasonable return costs where a return is required.
We recommend using a tracked delivery service for returned goods, as you are responsible for the goods until they are received by us.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you whether the refund has been approved.
Where a refund is due, we will refund you using the original payment method unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.
Refunds will be processed without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive the returned goods or you provide evidence that the goods have been returned, whichever is earlier. Irish consumer information also confirms that online cancellation refunds must generally be made within 14 days.
For valid consumer cooling-off cancellations, we will refund the product price and the standard delivery charge originally paid.
We do not refund any additional cost for enhanced, express, oversized, palletised or non-standard delivery selected by the customer, unless the goods were faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed.
Your bank, card provider or payment processor may take additional time to process the refund after it has been issued by us.
Business and Trade Customers
Where goods are purchased by a business or trade customer for business purposes, change-of-mind returns are accepted at our discretion only, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
This does not affect any rights that may apply in relation to faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods.
Custom-cut, made-to-measure, special-order or specially prepared items are not returnable for change of mind.
