What you're buying

One FAKRO DXG P2 fixed (non-opening) flat roof window with a factory-fitted flat glass section. Choose your size above. The upstand (kerb) the window sits on is not included – it is built on site by your carpenter or roofer.

What it's for

Bringing natural daylight into rooms under a flat roof where opening ventilation isn't needed. The flat glass top gives a clean, modern look from outside.

Key features

  • Flat glass section: 4 mm or 6 mm toughened glass, depending on size, in a black aluminium profile (RAL 9005), factory fitted to the window
  • Safety glazing: P2 glazing unit with an internal laminated pane, class P2A, to protect against shards of glass if it is damaged
  • Thermal performance: whole-window Uw = 0.92 W/m²K (EN 14351-1); Urc = 0.71 W/m²K (EN 1873, A = 4.0 m²); glazing unit Ug = 1.1 W/m²K, argon filled
  • Frame: multi-chamber PVC profiles
  • Internal and external FAKRO accessories can be fitted

Installation

  • The window is fixed to a timber upstand built on site, and the roof waterproofing is dressed up the upstand, as shown in FAKRO's fitting instructions.
  • Roof pitch: 2°–15° for sizes up to 120 × 120 cm; 5°–15° for 120 × 220, 140 × 140, 150 × 100 and 200 × 100 cm. FAKRO's instructions show that between 2° and 5° rainwater can sit on the glass; from 5° it drains off the glass section.
  • Two people are needed to carry the window. Don't stand on it.
  • Always follow the FAKRO DXG fitting instructions. The upstand, roof build-up and waterproofing detail are the responsibility of the installer and project designer.
